FAITH NOLTON is a painter, poet, illustrator and writer.
Her experience of reality has always been that of a mystic and intuitive.
She trained originally in Fine Art, and in the intervening years has also trained in counseling, healing, sacred dance, and shamanism. This has included a special interest in tribal art and ritual process, interpersonal soul work and deep ecology, and how soul energy operates in the everyday.
In this lifelong engagement with daily mystery, she records her personal experiences in pictures and poetry – her path of understanding and awareness.
Faith believes that all things in Creation are connected and interact continually through change that always orientates towards overall balance - the process the Diné (Navaho) refer to as 'Beauty.' In pursuit of this Beauty she makes paintings that are intentional windows between the seen and unseen worlds, in the manner of icons. Because of this her work is especially sought by therapists and healers to bring the energies of harmony, blessing and peace into their own spaces.
Faith has had two books published: ‘Easy to Use Shamanism’ [2002]
and ‘Soul Gardens: Making Sacred and Shamanic Art’ [2014].
Below are three mini talks about Faith's intuitive and spiritual processes in the
making of her pictures . . .
